GH Live controllers aren't console specific - that may have originally been paired with a PS4 GHlive dongle, but you can use it with any other GHLive dongle as well. If you get an Xbox 360 GHLive dongle, you don't need that program. Dongle will look like this

The main benefit you get out of Wii is that Wii guitars from around Guitar Hero III era are the meta for extremely skilled play, but that doesn’t matter to most people. Xbox 360 is what most rhythm game (Guitar Hero/Rock Band) players use, it has the most support, and most aftermarket guitars and equipment for sale are for the Xbox 360.
